Independence
No company in the ranking paid for inclusion, position or coverage. No company saw the weights, the scales or the draft before publication. The publisher has no commercial relationship with any company in the ranking.
The weights were written down and committed to the repository before the first vendor record was collected. The commit history is the evidence; the total score is computed at build time from the published weights and is never entered by hand.
Sources
- Only public sources are used: the company site, Clutch, G2, GoodFirms, certification registries and case studies the company itself published.
- Every number on the site has a source URL and the date it was checked. A number without a source is not shown; tables mark it with ○.
- Claims that come from the vendor itself (case studies, client names, results) are labelled vendor-published.
- The same source list and the same collection instruction were applied to every company. No company received a different treatment.
Corrections
A factual error is corrected on the page where it appears, with the correction date. If a corrected fact changes a dimension score, the total is recomputed from the same weights and the ranking is republished. Corrections do not change weights or scales.
How a vendor can dispute a fact
- Write to hello@softwaretestingcompanies.com with the page, the exact sentence and a public URL that shows the correct value.
- Only public evidence is accepted. A private document, a call or a demo cannot be used, because the same evidence would not be available for the other companies.
- If the public evidence supports the change, the fact is updated within the next full pass and the score is recomputed.
- Requests to change a position or a score without a factual basis are declined.
What is not used
- AggregateRating and Review markup: the site publishes an editorial ranking, not user reviews.
- Evaluative adjectives about any company. Judgements are stated as the presence or absence of public evidence.
- Paid placements, affiliate links, sponsored guides.
